Writing activity

This activity's focus is on creative writing, and it's targeted towards students in year 6 that are 11-12 years old.

It will be done using the live worksheet shown at the end of this entry on the website liveworksheets.

You can also find the link here: https://www.liveworksheets.com/c?a=s&t=NXfLtEZGYV&sr=n&l=tg&i=sttcsus&r=mv&f=dzdtuudu&ms=uz&cd=p--e-z-----lzbpzzkpxpvyngnzxxnxxg&mw=hs

The activity starts by reading the poem "Learning" by Judith Viorst in class, all together, and then discussing the poem: words they might not understand, what the poem is about, etc.

Then, on the computer, each student will fill in the blanks of the poem on the worksheet so as to make it their own. Once they are done they will be able to share it with their classmates, only if they want to.

This activity enables the students to use their creativity as well as their language skills. They have to fill in words and sentences so that the poem still makes sense and is coherent, as they also familiarise themselves with the structure of a poem.
