Speaking activity: Guess the character

This activity's target audience is mainly 8-10 year-olds, although it could be done in any year.

The idea is to encourage speaking by playing a game where one student is standing in front of the interactive whiteboard, facing the opposite way,  looking at their classmates who give them clues of who the character that appears on the screen is.

On the interactive whiteboard this 'game' made on Genially  will be shown:

(created by Belén S.M. for this blog)

Only one student will guess who the character is at a time, while the rest of the classmates give them clues. The game will be played so that a few 'lucky' students are the guessers.

The teacher will be the person to click on the "correct" and "pass" buttons, and when it's time to change the guessing student, they will have to click one of the buttons once the change has been made, so that the students don't see the next character.

It could also be played by small teams, where each group has one of the members be the guesser while the rest give only the other student in their team clues, and whichever team wins fastest wins a point.

  1. Hello, I find this activity very nice. I´m sure children are going to enjoy with this because it´s about their favourites characters. It´s original.
